Myrtle Beach or Panama City?

We have always stayed in the same hotel in Myrtle Beach. It has a great price and a bunch of included amenities. We have never had a bad time but we have never been anywhere else. This year we have been looking to see some place new. I have found a place in Panama City Beach, Florida

kfor a pretty good price but it doesn't have all the amenities. I don't know what to do because we are a family living on a budget so if this vacation doesnt go well we don't get another one for a year. I guess im wondering if anyone has been to both and can say going to Panama City Beach is worth the change. Thanks
Myrtle Beach or Panama City?
Both are great and fun places. I lived in Panama city beach for awhile and the summer time is the best time for a family to do there. Spring Break there can get a little crazy and frustrating for a family with a younger kids.

Pros for Panama city beach it is almost double the size of Myrtle Beach and many family friendly places. They have 2 water parks and a brand new shopping center called pier park and the beach is top 5 in the country. Summer time has a lot of family's.

Cons for Panama city beach - Traffic is crazy there and with limited side walks it make walking around dangerous. The restaurants at dinner time are most of the time at least a 2 hour wait to get a table. There are no beach front hotels they are all condos most of the hotels are at least 10 miles off the beach. So when your looking for a place to stay check out week long condo rentals Joni's beach rentals is the best.

You know the pros and cons of Myrtle beach I hope this helps you out

Hi Friend,

Myrtle Beach, SC is one of the world鈥檚 premiere vacation destinations. There is something to do for every member of your family. Amusement parks, world class shows, amazing shopping, wide variety of dining choices and don't forget the astonishing beaches.

The Grand Strand (the common name for the 60-miles of coastline that makes up Myrtle Beach,) offers visitors plenty of things to do. First of all, the beach itself is the area鈥檚 most popular attraction. The beaches are wide with lots of room to sunbathe and take in the sun.

If you love live shows then you are in luck during your next Myrtle Beach visit, From the Carolina Opry to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede you can have a great night of live entertainment. Also you can take in the Alabama Theater or see in Legends in Concert for a trip back to yesteryear.

Also more than four million rounds of golf take place in Myrtle Beach every year on courses designed by the best in the business including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Greg Norman, Robert Trent Jones, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, and Pete and P.B. Dye. One of the best parts of Myrtle Beach golf is that the vast majority of local courses are open to the public.
