Night swimming Jersey Shore?
Most of the towns on the Jersey Shore have ordinances regarding how late you can be on the beach. And yes they do enforce them. Depending on the town, it's usually after 10:00.
You can swim at night, as long as the beach is still open. But I wouldn't recommend it right around sunset. That's when the sharks feed. As long as you're not alone, everyone knows how to ocean swim, and there's some light, you should be okay.
Night swimming Jersey Shore?
The only rules that actually matters are the rules governing open water survival situations. If you can recognize ripcurrents from the beach and are a strong enough and knowledgeable enough swimmer to be able to safely get back to shore when a ripcurrent that you didn't recognize pulls you a hundred yards or so offshore at 5mph , then by all means go into the black water and have a great time. If you lack the knowledge and the skills then stay on the beach or just get your knees wet.
If you do go in don't worry about the big sharks .We all that they're out there and they like feeding in under four feet of water But I can honestly say that in over 40 years of solo night swimming in the ocean I've only met a shark once and it just brushed up against me .

Why is nudity not 'proper' in America?
In countires like Spain and in other places in Europe nudity is not as taboo as it is in America. People change right on the beach and don't care if people see them. Kids who want to go swimming don't wory if they have a suit and just jump in the water. Why can't we have that in the USA?

I am having a beach wedding which is what we wanted from the beginning so we aren't changing it. The only thing is that we only have room for roughly 40 people at the ceremony due to the area we are having it on the beach. We were thinking about having family only at the ceremony and having everyone at the reception since there is plenty of room at the hall we are having it at. There is no way to change location because this place is the most we could afford for the ceremony with our budget and we are not changing our minds on the beach. I just didn't know if peoples feeling will be hurt or not if They can't go to both. The only friends that will be there are the ones in the wedding. Help please?!

I answered my first YA question yesterday, about getting changed at the beach, and I read a resolved question about changing your top at work. It strikes me that it is quite acceptable (in Europe anyhow) to be seen in your underwear whilst changing on the beach, but not really acceptable to be briefly seen in you bra at work if you change your top quickly. Indeed it is probably more acceptable to be briefly naked while changing on the beach than to be briefly in your bra at work. I suppose this is just an extreme case of why certain clothes are acceptable in one situation but not in another.

They mentioned I needed a petition and an order from a judge? When I asked them to elaborate they said they couldn't, as they were only court clerks and couldn't give %26quot;legal advice%26quot;. They said I would have to either pay a lawyer to change my name, or research it online on my own. I would have to do up my own orders.
I thought it was a matter of filling out the name change form on the website, having it notarized, paying the fee and it was done!

i did it to my hair and i regretted it. It definitely works and i loved what it did to my hair.
i went from a dark brown to a light brown but it doesnt stay. Its good for like 2 months then you start getting horrible roots.
you could get it at a grocery store in like the sun screen section
its really cheep
and it works and its really nice while it lasts but im suggesting to you not to use it unless you like really dark roots

Hello. I have hit a snag in my life and want to make some changes. I am currently enrolled in college at a private university in southern West Virginia, but want to %26quot;get out of dodge%26quot; so to speak as soon as this coming semester. I want to find a college anywhere in the entire world (I'm not opposed to studying abroad) to finish my degree at. I want it to be on a beach though, as it's been a desire of mine for a while to live the beach life. I also don't want it to be a huge city like Los Angeles, etc. I do, however, want it to be an accredited university, not just some community college. Anyone have any suggestions?

Depending on your budget and garden you could hire an outdoor hot tub, always a winner, alternatively you could just get a small paddling pool to splash about in.

You should change your tampon whenever you are finished swimming for good. Your tampon will absorb a little bit of the water you're swimming in through the tampon string, so it's healthier and cleaner if you change it as soon as you're finished swimming. Best of luck!

I'm getting married on the beach in June nI really wanna change it before I go. The piercer said I could come back in 2 weeks for him to change it. But I read on here people say to wait longer. I just wanna know how long everybody else waited before they changed it? I just got it done 2 days ago. I don't wanna change it now. But at least before I go get married.

I was told 6-8 weeks, but changed mine after about 4 weeks. At first it was fine, but then I started changing it too often and I eventually had to take it out because it was starting to migrate. I saw whenever you decide to change it (and I would wait at least a month), instead of doing it yourself, go back to your piercer and have them change it for you.
Well the man who pierced mine said I should wait 6 months to change it, if I wanted it to be completely healed and have no risk of infection when I do it.
But he said if I 'thought it would be a good idea,' i could do four months.
I definitely don't think 2 weeks is enough.
I waited until its was healed (about a year for me, but they can be healed in 6 months), which is what's advisable. You can change them sooner, you just run the risk of irritating the piercing and setting back healing.
However, if your piercer changes it, that's the best way to go if you really must have it changed before it's healed. Professional piercers have the knowledge and skill to change the piercing with minimal trauma.

i'm going to the beach tomorrow with my best friend (we're both 17 %26amp; girls). i have my period and the problem with using a tampon is that i got my period yesterday so my flow is pretty heavy. i have to use a tampon and a pad b/c the tampon always leaks on its own. and i don't have many chances to change my tampon at the beach (plus i don't want to risk a leak). what should i do? go in the water up to my shorts and tell my friend the situation?

Go out before you go to the beach and buy a Super Plus tampon. It goes light, regular, super, super plus. That should hold your flow.

put a fresh tampon in righhhht before you get into the water, and when you are in the water you actually do not bleed.

Oh crud your going to get eaten by sharks.... not really, im messin... just use a super tampon, the period kinda chills out in the ocean, I have never been to the beach on the period but my friends have not had problems with it, and I haven't had problems when I go to the pool, no promises though, my definition of heavy vs yours may be 2 completely different animals.
tampax pearl all the way girl, i used them when i swam and i was fine, i get a heavy flow i mean so heavy a super plus only lasts me 30 mins. get a pack of tampax pearl it has all 3 absorbancys so you are covered for all your days weather heavy or light! and they have a leak guard skirt i have never had a leak!

I would just go in as far as you feel comfortable. If you dont' want to go in above your knees because of the situation, that is perfectly okay. When I went to the beach, I got my period the second day we were there. I couldn't insert a tampon because for some strange reason my flow wasn't as heavy as it normally is. I ended up doing exactly what you said you were going to have to do. Only go in up to my knees. It worked out fine and I was still able to get in the water, just not soak and wet. And yes, tell your friend the situation so she doesn't think you are being anti-social or something like that. She is a girl so she will completely understand. There is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about.

Use a tampon with a heavier absorbency.. There are super, super plus and some brands even have an Ultra. There should be a bathroom somewhere nearby, and if you use a higher absorbency you wouldn't have to change it as much.
If you aren't comfortable using a bigger tampon, then just wear the shorts, and tell your friend why you aren't going deeper.
And just so you know, water does NOT stop a period. The water just washes away the blood.

I took this yesterday with the filter on, spun it until the colours looked brightest in the viewfinder. I left the beach to change to a UV filter, by the time I came back conditions had changed %26amp; no rainbow.
I wanted to see the difference, I felt the colours weren't vibrant enough.

I realize that in the States, many if not most people do not approve of nudity at a public beach or a state/national park. However, I have noticed that if someone is nude and observes good time, place, and manner etiquette, that one can be free without hassle. For example, I have been nude at beaches in Galveston, where there are not many people in the evening, and have had no problems, People saw me and said nothing. I have done the same at beaches in South Padre during Spring Break - no trouble. Once, an officer told me to put my thong on - that's it. So, are Americans becoming more tolerant of non-sexual nudity in a natural setting after all?

Which farm animals require the least amount of care?
i'm hoping to move to a property (ie 10 acres) to have just a few animals, such as ducks, sheep and a couple of ponies, for my kids to enjoy and learn about. however; i am aware that this will mean our current lifestyle will need to change dramatically.
we have a beach house we like to visit for the odd weekend or weeks holiday. so, whilst i'd love to have some farm animals; i'm aware this may mean we need to be attending them 24/7 and actually be prevented from having the odd family holiday to still enjoy our new beach house.
what animals would be able to be left to 'fend' for themselves for a short time (3 - 7 days)? ie, i imagine sheep are ok at this. what about horses? or does this depend on feed supplies etc. (clearly i have no idea about this, but would very much like to make some changes in our lives).
some advice would be greatly accepted.

Most animals can't be left for that many days alone. You could promote wild animals living on your place like deer, birds, ducks and geese by providing them with the things they like. Check out BackYard habitat on Animal Planet Channel. Goats are pretty good about taking care of them selves but they like to escape so while you're gone they will probably get into the neighbors. Chickens are pretty easy but they are also easy prey and stray dogs will easily kill them all if no one is around. Sheep also are really good escape artists and then do require frequent checking. If you've not had the experience with horses or ponies don't get one until you have. Horses can get themselves in alot of trouble easily. Ponies have a tendancy to founder if their grass eating is not monitored and horses get hurt all the time. If you are going to be gone and something hurts itself, it will have to suffer until you get back to help it. Since you are only going to have a few acres. You will have close enough neighbors that might get pretty upset if your animals are eating their freshly planted tulips. Plus you are liable if they get in trouble while you are gone. You could even get in trouble with the Humane Society in your area if you get reported because no one is looking after you animals. If you are going to have farm animals they will need daily checking for feed, water, health and fence. I would just get to know your other neighbors with animals and see if you can trade chores. They will care your animals and in return you can care for thiers when they are gone. We have a large number of animals and that's how we do it. We have good friends and neighbors with aniamls that like to get a brake from home sometimes too.

As for cattle, or horses, they need plenty of pasture to graze, and they also need hay, and grain. For a horse you should figure about 2lbs of good hay for every 100lbs of the horses weight. Also about the same for cattle. They should be fed 3 times a day, not just once. Cattle, and especially horses can be very high maintence animals. All yeah, your going to need a nice shelter for your animals also.
Not to sound mean,but all animals need to be cared for daily. Fresh water feed waist removed if penned, and to be protected from predators speaking about ducks, geese, sheep, chickens... Please think before ya buy Lots of luck and enjoy any animals you get.....Ever think of fish !!
My personal choice is goats. They will eat just about anything. When I had some I fed them corn in the winter which here in Alabama is less than five dollars for a fifty pound bag. They were more affectionate than my dogs thats for sure. I suggest you buy them young so that they aren't stand-offish when they are adults. But watch out if you are anything like me you will end up feeding them year round because they beg for the corn and I didn't have the heart to tell them no. They still ate the grass and weeds so it wasn't a real problem. Other than that all I had to do was give them worm pellet every few weeks. Got along with the chickens and the hog. I wouldn't suggest ducks because for every cup of feed they eat they **** a gallon and they make the whole area stink. Lots of cleaning=lots of works

With these guys if you let them free graze when you are on your farm they are really fun to have! When you go away you can put them in they cage/coop equiped with large automatic feeders and water bins. this way you could dump seed/feed into the feeder and when they eat a certain amount more dumps out and the same with water. Goats are good to because they will eat anything! so if you have to leave for a few days and you leave them some hay and run most likely they will feed off of talk grass or sometime weeds and trees! they love trees and flowers so if you want a garden fence it off! also they are good to have if you plan on getting horses because if there is a cold going around the goat will get sick and not the horses :D

I been to a few nude beaches in Hawaii that was hidden normally it was a bunch of us local girls enjoying the sun and just hanging out....I miss this quiet hidden spot...I moved so I am no longer on the islands...Otherwise I would still go....

So, if i curl my hair before i go to the beach and when i'm playing in the waves the curls will drop and go wavy and tousled. Do you think this will look nice becase my hair always looks boring on the beach and i fancy a change. Is there anything I need to know. This is a first time shooting, at the beach
I intend on using my 18-55mm lense, and my 500mm manual focus lense.
Is there a filter (polarize) or any type that would enhance my pics?
also, I am very careful w. my camera for sure...but what are my chances of getting sand in my camera.? I do not intend on changing lenses anywhere near the sand.!!
also should I use the beach setting ?

The best times to shoot are early morning and late afternoon - an hour after sunrise and an hour before sunset. Avoid shooting during the middle of the day when the sun is high in the sky.
A polarizer filter will remove glare from water, sand, glass, painted metal and snow - but not from polished metal. It will also darken a blue sky. Every lens you own should always have either a Skylight or UV/Haze filter protecting the front element of the lens.

If you have to change lenses, do it inside or at least out of any wind. Keep the camera body pointed down, make the change as quickly as possible and get the rear cap on the lens you took off.

A polarizer will definitely help produce richer pictures ( in color and contrast) but only if you shoot at a 90 degree angle from the sun. High noon pictures are pretty boring. If you are using a digital camera and want to use your automatic focus, then a circular polarizer is needed. I personally use a Heliopan circular polarizer, but many of my collegues have opted for either Tiffen (if you can find one) or Hoya. Keep in mind your best pictures will either be just after sunrise or just before sunset.
As far as sand goes, if it's not hitting you from windy conditions then your camera will be ok. Just think of it like food... don't lay it anywhere you wouldn't lay your %26quot;sandwich%26quot; and always put it away when not in use. Not only is the sand a potential problem but direct sun isn't so great either!
Finally, don't know what the beach setting is but starting there, and seeing what the settings are (ISO, f-stop, shutter speed) is a good way to start. Then switch to apeture or shutter priority using those settings and play around... Enjoy!

Wearing tampons at the beach?
My friend and I have been planning to go to the beach tomorrow all week, and of course I got my period on Friday. I've had it for a little over a year and I've always used pads. I have tampons but I'm afraid to use them. Talking about this stuff with my mom is extremely uncomfortable. And could I wear one tomorrow for about 7 hours straight without having to change it? And what if the string pops out of my bathing suit?

you can wear a tampon for 7 straight hours, but you might have to change it depending on your flow. and i would practice at home first. it's really not bad. you just slide it in, and it shouldn't feel uncomfortable. the dryer your vagina is, the more uncomfortable it will be for you to put in. once its in, you shouldn't feel it. and dont flush them down the toilet lol, that would be embarrassing because it would clog it.
and you've got nothing to be afraid of. they are just absorbant cloth that will keep your girl problems secret. ( :

Lol, excuse my language but On The Beach is one f*cking brilliant album. It can be very dark and gloomy but that's actually one of the reasons why I love it so much. I also think it's one of those albums that you have to listen all the way through without stopping.

example, bikini and miniskirt, when it gets hot out take off your tee or something and youll definetly be sexy and showing skin...but then tis easy to take off and coverup again. you can also try buying tons of swim coverups. they should all be on sale now too!!

I've always wanted to wear a bikini with mega high wedges (higher then the ones on the link!) and then be able to wear a slightly see through, shortish, floaty dress over the top!
Don't overdo make up if you're on the beach- personally I would just wear some waterproof mascara and possibly some lip gloss/ lip tint!

a dress which looks casual but could pass as something that can be worn in the evening. put your hair up in a fancy bun or keep it down and straighten or curl it so it looks like you have done something with it. maybe wedges because they can look both casual and posh. you could always change your shoes by keeping pairs in you handbag or something. you could wear a nice patterned fairly short dress i think, because black will look too dark on a beach. i think you should keep make up fairly simple like you could have eye liner, mascara, maybe eye shadow which matches your dress. ooh! and paint your nails! white looks awesome! try to magnify your eyes.if you are wearing a dress with no straps, then wear a strapless bra or if you dont want that, wear a bra which matches the dress. paint your toenails. good luck! hope you manage to pull some boys! xxxx

I would keep it simple for the afternoon; a cute bikini with a sundress and flip flops. Nice, cute and casual. I would bring some jewellry in and keep it in a bag until the night. A nice dramatic necklace, some sexy bangles and earrings and if there's enough room, maybe a pair of heels too.
