Going to the beach while on my period?

i'm going to misquamicut beach in rhode island with my friend for her birthday. i started my period yesterday, the day we go will be my third day. i have been using tampons for awhile. will i be okay in the ocean with my period? will i leak? do i have to change it every time i get out of the water or what? also, we're gonna be doing a lot of boogie boarding, will this be okay or should i not move so much? thank you!

If you had been wearing tampons for a while now...it shouldn't be a problem. You have to change it like you always do about every 8 hours...you can move around you can do whatever you always do itz fine (:
