Why is Sydney beginning to look more and more like Bejing, Hong Kong and Lebanon ?

Should the level of immigration into this City and Australia be a concern for a Nation with only 20 Million people with the land size of the USA ? Why is immigration not worked out on averages or more desirables coming into this country. I'm just pointing out that if most are from 3-4 foreign countries the face of Australia will change forever ! Whats wrong with our Beach and Country culture anyway ?

Bejing, Hong Kong and Lebanon? Last time I checked there it was the Indians that were overuning this joint. And gay guys.. but we're not going into that.

And most of the Asians (Chinese, Hong Kongs, Malaysians and Singaporeans) come to Sydney for the education.. it's the traditional asian way.. send the kid overseas for schooling.

Europeans don't want to come over (especially those in the EU) because it's too tough for them to get in.. I've heard that it's easier to get with an Irish passport than a British one not to mention that Australia is too far away and Europeans can move freely about the EU without much hassle.

We don't want South Africans because of the disease levels (have you seen how HIV and AIDS run rampant there).

But our immigration laws have a point system.. we set up lists on what jobs we're short on and if you're on one of them you get in easy.. if not.. well it can be a bit harder.

we have a problem with illegal mexicans in the US. i dont know how it is over there in Sydney but wherever there is an influx of foreign immigrants they will make thier atmosphere to resemble their home. Here it looks like Tijiuana and in some parts even worse.
