Okay so I am planning on changing my room theme to a beach theme.. any suggestions, tips, and ideas would help. Stores where I can buy supplies would also help. If you could keep this on the cheap side, I would appreciate it. :)

well like at hobby lobby they have sea shells you could buy in a basket that you could put on shelves or hang. if you like candles or can buy floral candles. you could get like little ble frames for ocean pictures;then again it depends on the color of your room. but you could also have the hawaian flowers on your wall. you could have like a little fish bowl for a betta fish with blue and pink pebbles, and such if you can't have a fish just put water with the pebbles in it and have the floating candles on it or have it alone.

how committed are you? scrounge dollar stores for anything that makes you think of the beach. also try fabric or craft stores. and don't be afraid to steal ideas from magazines or web sites. they publish because they want to share their ideas. just make sure you put your own spin on it. don't try to copy exactly.

I say make it very simple and inexpensive. Paint the walls something in the blue or green family and paint all the furniture white. This will cost well under $100. After that all you need is a nice duvet that matches the wall color and maybe a nice model sailboat and a cute lighthouse shaped lamp. I don't think of %26quot;beachy%26quot; as seashells and things. More a relaxing atmosphere. Maybe splurge on a nice down comforter but other than that the %26quot;beach%26quot; feel should come from the overall calm feeling of being at the beach not the cheesy decor in your rental house where you are staying.
