I just realized that my period will becoming the week im on spring break...which would be a bit of a hassle with how much time i'll be spending at the beach. I'm on birth control right now i was wondering if there is any way i can switch it maybe by stopping taking pills for a week or something? I'm not on it for pregnancy prevention just for cramps and lightening it so thats not an issue. Any advice would be appreciated.
Changing when my period will come?
I had the same problem for my wedding. I was due for my period on my wedding day! No thanks!
So, I just took the 3 weeks of active pills, and skipped the sugar pills and went directly to the next pack. So you would be taking 6 weeks of active pills.
Make sense?
I asked my doctor if this was ok, she said it was fine to do but not often. Once in awhile for this type of thing is ok though.
Changing when my period will come?
I would switch them now so that you start about 2 weeks earlier then spring break. This way you can insure that you won't be on your period the week before, right at the end of Spring Breark. However, make sure that you go back to your normal routine of taking them or it may mess your cycle up a bit.
Instead of taking your sugar pills that week go straight to another pack of pills, or wait two weeks to restart pills to change when you will start your period (this may cause irregular bleeding through out the pack)
if you're on a daily pill, with the 5 or 7 sugar pills, then skip the sugar pills over spring break. just keep taking the hormone pills that week, and then take the sugar pills after spring break. no worries!!

How many degrees is the western horizon?
What I mean is, if you're facing due West (like on the beach or something), how many degrees of change in latitude/longitude will there be from the the most southern part of the western horizon to the most norther part of the western horizon?
How many degrees is the western horizon?
Standing on a beach looking due West you would be able to see from horizon to horizon which would be less that one degree in latitude because the size of 1 degree of latitude is 69 miles and you wouls not be able (on a totally flat spot) be able to see that far to your left and right of which the horizon makes up everything in between. I would estimate that you would be able to see 1/2 a degree of latitude and this is partly due to the curvature of the Earth.
How many degrees is the western horizon?
If you face directly west, then south is directly to your left, and north is directly to your right. There are 180 angular degrees of horizon from the point straight south of you to the point straight north of you. I am not sure what you mean by %26quot;most southern part of the western horizon%26quot; and %26quot;most northern part of the western horizon%26quot;, but if you are thinking about dividing the entire 360 degree horizon into a west half and an east half, then there would be 180 degrees of western horizon. Latitude and longitude have nothing to do with the answer to this question; they refer to your position on the earth.
You're not seeing very far at all. The Earth curves away so much a person standing at sea level sees little.
Rather than a Pacific beach, try on a open flat-land place. Start at a structure of some kind, and see how far you go until you can not see it.
Thinking of the Jersey Shore I'd say I can see about 15 miles up or down the coast; which I guess-timate is 12'. A degree of longitude is 60'. So I can see 1/5 of a longitude.
A latitude degree is less distance. Which is why a USGS topo map is not square, though it's 7'5%26quot;x7'5%26quot;.
In Maine's Acadia National Park, one favorite activity is to be atop of Cadillac Mountain (1,528 feet (470 m)), to be the first in North America to see the day's sunrise. From the mountaintop a person can see much farther than down at sea level.

So the higher you get, airplane, space satellite, you'll see farther.

How many degrees is the western horizon?
180 degrees. Split into three lots of 60 degrees.
South-west.....west....north-west.
That way the real west bit is 60 degrees
Other way is, north west and south west are 90 degrees each. West is the middle half of each.
2 x 45 = 90
Or you can say...north,south,east,west, 90 degrees each. 4x 90 = 360
Same thing...90 degrees
If you're paying tax on it the first way is really the true one.
If you're marking or describing your real estate for sale the second way is the absolutely real one.
Honest.
Third way is.....as wide as my picture. That's 20 degrees.
Looking west.

But if you really want the most southerly to the most northerly points of the western horizon it goes from due south to due north via the western side.
All of it. 180 degrees.
..........
oh, and it's the azimuth by the way, not the lat/long you want for that.
Changing your lat.long just changes where you see the western horizon from.
Up and down is altitude, across or how far round is azimuth.

How many degrees is the western horizon?
It depends on how you define %26quot;western%26quot;. It might be 90 degrees, because 90 * 4 = 360 and there are 4 cardinal directions (North, East, South, West) in the full 360 degrees of the circle of the horizon. But if you consider southwest to be not part of west, then it is less. And if you consider west-southwest to be also different it is smaller still.
Western horizon is at270degree azimuth and zero degree altitude.
Hyman eye can see about 160degree.But all that is not west.
I think jonal is close, but I can make a valid argument for %26quot;179%26quot; degrees west, cause the corollary would be 179 degrees east. with a %26quot;point%26quot; at north and south that is neither...
1degree north
1degree south
179 east
179 west = 360degrees
It depends entirely on your altitude above the spherical earth surface:
Distance to horizon D = 鈭?2Rh + h虏) where R is the earth's radius and h is your height above sea level.
dLat = 卤 arctan(D/R)
dLong = 卤 arctan[D/(Rcos(Lat))]

South Beach Diet-more than i am used to eating...will i gain weight?
my usual diet was very scattered. i'd skip breakfast usually, then have something to eat around 2pm, and then dinner around 9pm.
SBD is requiring me to eat 3 meals and snacks, which is a big change for me. will i just gain weight on it, instead of losing it?
South Beach Diet-more than i am used to eating...will i gain weight?
With all diets that people go on with the hope of losing weight, feeling and looking better, the golden rule is to commit to the lifestyle change. There is no such thing as a temporary change that leads to permanent results.
The rationale behind the 3 meals/3 snacks lifestyle is to jump-start your metabolism. Many people who were on SBD did end up gaining weight. This is because diet alone is not enough on South Beach.
In some studies, people's stomachs actually got larger as they got used to eating more. When that happened, and they didn't see the results they were hoping to see, they ended up going off the diet and having to eat more to compensate because now they were used to eating more than before!
Follow the recommended foods and serving sizes that are indicated in their books (obviously).
But also ensure that if you are jump-starting your metabolism you are also jump-starting your heart. You should increase the number of times per day that your heart rate goes up. This is easily done through some minor changes in daily routine. Walk to your destinations faster than you would normally walk. Use the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. The idea behind this technique is to ensure that the vitamins and fats that the body is now metabolizing has a place to go that require the additional metabolized output (muscular and circulatory systems). Not only is this a simple work-out and is good for you, but you'll drum up those happy hormones called endorphins.
Good luck!

Your metabolism works faster if you eat. Dont skip meals, eat small portions, 3-4 times a day.
no it will actually work better....if you skip meals...you might be skinny but what good is it if your not healthy...
eating like that will help you lose weight. when you dont eat much your body will slow down your metabolism and store more fat because it is preparing your body for starvation conditions

How many degrees is the western horizon?
Technically, to look west you'd be facing 270掳. Assuming you are using a 4 point compass (N, S, E, W), anything less than 225掳 (the most southern part of the western horizon) would be considered south and anything greater than 315掳 (the most northern part of the western horizon) would be considered north. Therefore 315掳-225掳 = 90掳.
Another way to calculate this is to divide the 360掳 contained in a circle by the 4 cardinal points, and you still end up with 90掳.
Latitude and longitude are lines of reference used to determine a location, and do not relate to the direction of the horizon.short hair styles lock file

Why is rock changing?
Rock has changed so much........it went from the beatles and beach boys to Led Zeppelin and ACDC to Def Leppard and guns n roses to Pearl Jam and Nirvana to Nickleback and Creed those are all good bands but now it seems like rock totaly changed, not all of it, but now its almost like pop music and there are no more good guitar riffs and its just not as good i dont know maybe its because i like more of the older stuff but yea.....................................鈥?br>
ROCK ON!!!
Why is rock changing?
It's better to try new things.. There some great rock bands that are still lighting up the fire of Rock..
Alter Bridge
Daughtry
Saliva
And more...
The only thing that gives disgrace to the rock genre is the
%26quot;Emo%26quot; genre.. Bands like:
My Chemical Romance
Fall Out Boys
Panic! at the Disco

They can't do anything rather than spin and spin while playing guitar, cut their wrist, or kiss boys.. They got no talent at all.. They can only do like power chords or something, simple drum beats and bass lines, and the vocalists aren't good either.. As far as I know, MCR's lead Guitarist, Ray Toro, is a Slash wanna be.. Look at his style of playing, the equipment, and even the physical looks.. I don't know why people like those bands..
Why is rock changing?
Because it would be boring if it didn't.
because ppl suck and their music reflects this
Correction : Creed and Nickleback are not good bands.
Music always evolves. No matter what genre.
Mostly it because times have changed. There are no more hippies or Disco music. As time passes and style changes the music is going to change too.
There are good guitar riffs but not as good as back then.
=D
Rock is changing because it's more about money, or at least looks now, plus it's mainly kids listening now so the good stuff is hiding... I miss the good music days as well, and pretty much hate anything heard on the radio, but you can still find some of that good true rock between the lines.
And for those of you saying if it didn't change it'd be boring, while I do agree with you to some degree, I also think that a lot of old rock did keep it interesting and with a lot of stuff they changed it up because they felt like it, not because it made them money. Today, not with everything, but a lot of bands either sound very much the same to the next, or everything they've done is about the same thing, or at least sounds like it... thats just my opinion, don't hate me for it.
Why don't you eat the same exact thing everyday!
Ya need variation to spice it up
Music changes alot because it is always evolving and if people did the same thing every time than rock would start to get rather boring. I don't mind some of the old rock, its just I prefer the new stuff and I think innovative artists have usually done well and thats why its changing.
It's because shows like American Idol have ruined the music industry. Music is not about talent anymore. Bands are manufactured and artists win contests. Imagine if bands like The Beatles, THe Who, The Doors, Zepplin or U2 or AC/DC had to make it in todays industry. They would fail miserably because today's youth has no concept of what good music is.
who the hell likes nickleback anyway? it's like saying, %26quot;i love hinder.%26quot; it depends on the type of rock you listen to, i guess.
well, we could ask ourselves this question for many things: why does fashion change? why does the weather change? why do people change? why does technology change? because change is good, without it things would be boring. i enjoy both new and old rock, it's all just music to me.
Rock is changing into fast food, money driven music. It is no longer about those cool guitar licks, drum solos, awesome vocals or legendary lyrics. It is now screaming out of tune, walls of angry guitar riffs, and lyrics which often don't make much sense.
It'll start changing back when people listen to the older stuff, realize what they had and not put up with subpar music. It'll also happen when record labels start taking chances again on new, talented music rather than %26quot;sure bets%26quot; which hit the charts %26amp; sound like everything else. Just my take.
Rock on !
BECAUSE TOO MANY LITTLE KIDS LIKE FOB AND MCR AND GET CAUGHT UP IN THAT CRAP
It has to if it didnt one it would be terribly borring two its the process of evolution people want to push the limits some for good some for bad but its all necessary to keep music interesting obviously weve entered a dry spell but think back 30 years(in the span of music not that long) it was a musical golden age with the zeppelin influence still coming the beatles influence fresh in the minds of all and soooo many others there will be more times like these just wait. however if music stopped changing it would be stuck in this emo top-40 age 4-ever the brits just need to send over some more talent haha PE@CE
well, errrr...um
as i will often say, music is always a reflection of its time. we are living in a world of consumerism. that's why, first and foremost, the purpose of music is to accommodate demand. for many people, the decision about a particular type of music is a lifestyle commitment, they are kind of associating their existence with the music they are listening to, without being touched by it too deeply.
ewww! creed and nickelback...disgusting.
Because the new generation of bands are idiots like Ozzy Osbourne Fan up there and make crappy music
Yeah, Rock isn't changing, the public's views on music is changing. There are still plenty of bands out there now that sound like those bands (Airbourne sound like AC/DC) but they don't have the same appeal. The public's taste in music has changed from great guitar riffs to.....well....listen to the radio. The Beatles are the best band of all time because people of that era loved their smooth vocals and brilliant tunes, but if a band exactly like them was to come out now, they would not have the same appeal.
(Oh and BTW, Nirvana and Pearl Jam are more 'Grunge' than 'rock' and 'Creed' and 'Nickelback' are not a good example of 'Rock' at the moment, a better example would be a band like 'Jet' or 'Foo Fighters')
i agree with Jake rulez d00d.
time goes on. people change, along with styles, and even MUSIC.
Now beach boys are oldies.
Zepplin, ACDC, Def leppard and guns and roses are classic rock.
Pearl jam and Nirvana are grunge.
Creed is Rock.
Nickelback is probably more alternative.
If you are referring to bands like My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, and a lot of others, you are putting them in the wrong category.
they arent really as %26quot;Rock%26quot; but they are %26quot;alternative rock%26quot;.
they ARE NOT pop. todays POP is different, such as brittany spears, daughtry(altern-pop), and christina aguliera.
i agree, Zeppelin, ACDC, and Guns n roses are classics. but it's just the style that changes.
basically its changing because MUSIC changes with STYLE.
Music changes over time, like everything else.
If music didn't change, people would get tired of it. That's WHY it changes. You get a bunch of bands that have similar sounds, people get tired of the old stuff and start something new!
The world changes, people change...so rock music changes day by day, year by year, decade by decade
Music evolves. in the time of the beatles, things were much simpler and there weren't so many musical acts then. but i believe too much commercialism has taken a hold on the music industry, nowadays it's about selling records. it isn't because there are no good bands, because there are, but we need to discover them. i could give you a few examples.
I enjoyed the Rock of the past of The Beatles, Black Sabbath and The Who but I mostly enjoy the evolution of music. It's been a fun ride through the eras. Today's music is so wide open with a vast range of styles that even mentioning the likes of Creed and Nickleback as your apex of today's music is kinda like a slap in the face! Name off bands like Radiohead or Tool and you might of gotten a different reaction. Music evolution is cool, enjoy the ride!
If it didnt change music would be boring. We would be hearing the same things year after year, album after album. Music will always be changing. The beach boys sound nothing like Nirvana, but Nirvana in a way came out of the Beatels and the Beach Boys. Just like half the bands that are playing today are influnced by Nirvana but still have their own sound.
Generation, sad. I miss the old rock!
Ha ha your wrong its getting harder ********, wow your an idiot. Rock takes more talent than pop, therefore its not popish. nucca. Stupid lint licker.

Which one was the first experiences you had with Women discrimination?
Mine were at 2 or 3 years old, being able to run around naked with the other boys in the beach, but the girls were told to keep their swimsuits on...
But the worst and changing point came when years later I was allowed to go to late parties, but my twin sister not....because she was a woman!
And that was decided by our %26quot;feminist%26quot; mother!!!
Early mornings I spent telling her how the Party went, with whom and missed joys and bitter tears of her I shared.
Father was a %26quot;better feminist%26quot;,but too late to prevent his daughter of abusive male types my sister was not ready to fend off.
I am against women oppresion(by males or females)ever since.
Which one was the first experiences you had with Women discrimination?
Being told by a teacher I couldn't be good at math, cause I'm a girl. unfortunately I'm very impressionable and want acceptance so I stopped being so good at math.
Which one was the first experiences you had with Women discrimination?
10 th grade high school is the first one that mattered a lot.
one of the extra things one could do ( to help your odds of getting in college) was joining the biology club, or other science clubs. i tried to do that, but was told only boys were allowed to join. I was told i could join the secretary's or homemaker's clubs.
At least the Chess club accepted me.
I'm an engineer now.
When I found out my church only had ALTAR BOYS.
I dont remember my first experiences I had with Women discrimination. May be I was too young to remember or may be I am getting too old and I cant remember many things.
My first experience would have to be age 5 in kindergarten when I was told that I couldn't play police because I wasn't a male.
Amleth where are you from?
