I have to do a report on the Beach Boys
for music. I need some help narrowing
it down. I practiced and it was 2 minutes
long. I wanted it a little under.
My report was on the Beach Boys. They are an American Rock band formed in 1961 from Hawthorne California. The band started out with the 3 Wilsons, Brian, Carl, and Dennis. As they were growing up, they were influenced by their father Murry Wilson. He would play the piano every night which influenced Brian to teach his brothers the harmonies of %26quot;ivory Tower.%26quot; Family gatherings brought the Wilsons closer to Mike Love. Brian also knew Alan Jardine who played the guitar. Later, Brian, Mike, and two friends performed at Hawthorne Highschool in California. After they realized they wanted to start a band. Theif first band name was the Pendletones. Eventually, Dennis played the drums, Brian played the bas and keyboards, Carl and Alan played the guitar, and mike as the co-lead singer. In September 1961, the Pendletones auditioned for Hite and Dorinda Morgan at Stereo Masters in Hollywood. They failed the first time but made it the second time with a song change. On October 3, 1961, the Pendletones band name was changed to the Beach Boys. They have 33 albums and recorded over 100 songs. Their best singles are %26quot; Help Me Rhonda,%26quot; %26quot;Good Vibrartions,%26quot; %26quot;Surfin Safari,%26quot; and %26quot;Surfin USA.%26quot; Their best album was Pet Sounds which was released on May 16, 2966. They were known as America's first rock band%26quot; with 36 top 40 hits in the United States. The band members today are Alan Jardine, Bruce Johnston, Mike Love, and Brian Wilson. Former band members were Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, David Marks, Ricky Fataar, Blondie Chaplin, and Glen Campbell. Right now, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston are on tour. Brian Wilson and Alan Jardine are touring later next year.
