Will oil spills ruining conservative politicians' beach vacations change their mind about stopping regulation?

Or will conservative politicians including both the the republicans and libertarians, still think NOT having regulations on business for good reasons like safety, the environment and of course the economy of the country is a good idea?

I ask this because what%26#039;s good for billionaires %26amp; other wealthy people who own the majority stock in oil companies and the wealthy CEOs of oil companies doesn%26#039;t mean that what%26#039;s also good for the other 95% or higher percent of the country.|||I was listening to talk radio earlier, and they were dealing with this exact thing. As I recall, the person on the radio (just a random show, don%26#039;t know the name) said something to the effect of %26quot;The accident, though having a huge impact in the environment and local areas, hasn%26#039;t been enough to knock the various people off the standing they already had. So in the end, not much has changed.%26quot;

Meaning: They%26#039;ve already made up their minds, so you%26#039;re not likely to change them.|||No, it%26#039;s Obama%26#039;s fault, remember?

It can%26#039;t possibly be deregulation that made this happen!

*rolls eyes*|||It%26#039;s Obama%26#039;s administration that has failed enforce the existing regulations.|||Markey is really teed about that. He was going to the resort. Now he will clean birds.|||lets see, there re regulations on automobiles and they have recalls all the time, maybe you%26#039;ve heard of toyota, the banks are some of the most regulated and maybe you%26#039;ve heard of the bailouts, medication is regulated by te FDA and they are always making recalls, oil rigs are regulated and we still have spills, airplanes are regulated and we had 9/11 an many other plane crashes, yeah regulations work well|||Why can%26#039;t Democrats regulate without practically taking over?

hmmmm?

And then say conservatives want NO regulation because they don%26#039;t want to practically take over.

Retards...

Evel...if deregulation was the problem, why didn%26#039;t Obama reinstate any when allowing MORE offshore drilling?|||dude..you are blind like all the other libs..the eco freaks shut down drilling about 30 years ago.they forced cos to drill in extreme areas like 5000 feet down,plus another 5000 to get to the oil .what the hell did you dopes expect other than a disaster waiting to happen !we have oil reserves near the shore and on land that we cannot harvest.talk about stupid ! ocean drilling 1000 feet or less poses no problems...all the safety features are above the water.no..the eco freaks cannot tolerate this ! so ..people enjoy the oil disaster..you morons caused it .|||This is nonsense. Do what regulations are you referring to, the ones that this Administration ignored? It%26#039;s because of the %26quot;impossible%26quot; regulations that they were forced to drill in such deep waters to begin with. All we know at this point is that an accident most likely occurred. There are some indications that safety inspectors may have over-looked some things. Is there any connection with this and the fact that Obama was the #1 recipient of BP political money (almost $1 million) over the last 20 years have any influence in that? Don%26#039;t know.

When conservatives are talking about regulations, they are talking about the kind that do not provide a value to society, they make American companies uncompetitive in the world, they force jobs elsewhere, they stifle growth (jobs for more Americans). Regulations are always needed for honest business practices and the good of society.
