Need advice on an outfit to wear to a daytime and nighttime wedding!?

My boyfriend and I have 2 weddings to attend on the same day in April. One is at 2pm (outside ceremony) and the other is at 7pm (on beach then reception inside a hotel). The problem is that I dont have time to change in between! I need advice on an outfit that is appropriate for both. I was thinking of changing in the car though.

Go with a short cocktail style dress of a fresh color. You can play it down in the day with simple jewelry and glam it up in the evening for the reception.
