Is it legall when you are stopped by a Police officer for him to change the location of the offense to move yo?

I was stopped for speeding and given a Dui in long beach by a Seal Beach Police officer. On the ticket the location was changed moving me back in the Seal Beach city limits. The actual location of the offense was 2.4 miles from where he listed. He also changed the time by a hour. Why is this, is it legal?

I believe that law says that your crime can't be changed to a different county, it was something like that.....

fight the ticket. The judge will throw it out with that many errors
You need an attorney. You cannot handle this yourself.

If what you are saying is true, then your attorney will request an evidentiary hearing. If it turns out the cop did what you claim he did, these charges would have to be dropped.

However, the cops would have the right to amend the complaint and refile the charges, listing the correct location.

It just depends. If the cop made an honest mistake, they will probably refile the charges. If the cop was trying to pull off some kind of scam, they will probably just drop the charges and forget about it.

But you need to retain a lawyer who specializes in DUI defense.
perhaps thats where he started following you. Get a DUI lawyer. You were loaded, how do you know?
