It's going to be down to us both anyway, but maybe someone here can help me change are mind or should I stick to it?
My fiance want's to wear a blacks suit and beige waistcoat to our beach wedding - what do you think?
I completely disagree with the second and third answer. It's YOUR wedding, you can tell people to wear whatever the hell you like. There are people who have ogre themed wedding, aren't they supposed to tell people the dress code? Ridiculous. Beach weddings are very tricky so it's actually best to, and it's only a color code anyway.
I think all beige and white sounds find but he is going to be your husband, let him wear whatever he wants to. If he thinks black is good, settle for it. You get your beige and white, he gets his black, you're both happy. It's both of your wedding, not just yours.

It's pretty bold of you to require a strictly white or beige dress code for your wedding guests, so I expect you won't understand when I tell you that you are putting way too much thought into this. If he wants to wear a black suit with a beige waistcoat, that's his prerogative. It's not going to ruin your wedding. You're marrying him because you love him. All of these other arbitrary rules only take away from the merriment and beauty of the occasion.
Good luck whatever you decide.
You can't tell your guests what to wear! It's very rude. Hopefully, that solves the problem.
That's pretty ballsy to dictate what your guests wear. That's up to them. And having your hubby wear black is just fine.
no offense but it sounds very boring and stuffy....something i wouldn't equate with a beach wedding. Why not let him wear black so he can stand out? Also something for you to ponder... with all the ladies wearing white, how will you stand out?
You can set a dress code for the wedding party, but not for guests other than level of formality (black tie, resort casual, etc). To attempt to control what the guests where is to be a controlling Bridezilla. Could you have misspoken and meant bridesmaids?
IMO I think black is too dark and formal for a beach wedding. I think a white or tan suit looks nice for the groom at a beach wedding.
